Tottenham vs West Ham

Goalscorers: Kulusevski 36′, Bissouma 52′, Todibo 55′, Son 60′; Kudus 18′

It was West Ham who actually took the lead in the 18th minute when Spurs failed to clear their lines, allowing Jarrod Bowen to easily beat Destiny Udogie and pick out Mohammed Kudus at the back post to convert.

A deflected shot from Pedro Porro almost slipped past Alphonse Areola, but the West Ham goalkeeper reacted brilliantly and kept the ball out, only to be beaten moments later when he failed to do enough for Dejan Kulusevski's low shot that went into the net was able to ward off both contributions.

Seven minutes into the second half, Tottenham turned things around when Udogie caught the onrushing Yves Bissouma and scored his second goal for the club. Things quickly went from bad to worse for the Hammers when Jear-Clair Todibo shot into his own net after a save from Areola following a Son attack on his compatriot.

But the Spurs captain came into the game on the hour mark when he beat the offside trap before hitting the near post after a series of quick overtaking maneuvers – and almost scored a quick second, but the post was denied.
