The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series championship race is getting closer and closer and two participants have already been determined.

Joey Logano, who won the opening race of the third round of the playoffs at Las Vegas Motor Speedway two weeks ago, and Tyler Reddick, who won last weekend's race at Homestead-Miami Speedway, secured spots in the championship race. The final two spots will be decided this Sunday at Martinsville Speedway.

At Martinsville, if one of the other six remaining playoff drivers wins Sunday's Xfinity 500, they will compete in Championship 4 alongside Logano and Reddick. The other spot is determined by the playoff rankings, with the driver with the most points receiving the final spot. However, if a non-playoff driver, or Logano or Reddick, wins on Sunday, the final two championship spots will both be determined by points.

The Championship 4 drivers will then compete against the rest of the field on Sunday, November 10th at Phoenix Raceway. The driver among the four with the best finish will be crowned the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series Champion.
