Nick Saban had his first “uh-oh” hot mic moment on college game day

It's official: Nick Saban had his first hot mic moment on College GameDay. It took until the first Saturday in November, but it had to happen.

They've all been through it. Lee Corso is famous for F-bombs on ESPN. Herbstriet had one a few years ago. God knows Pat McAfee has at least four every week.

No one cares or pays attention to Desmond Howard, so I can't speak for him.

But Nick Saban? He's the newbie. The well-dressed former coach, fresh out of retirement, wants to carve out a nice niche for himself in the world of broadcasting. He is the professional. The one who is supposed to bring balance to the show.

But you can only stay loyal to Pat McAfee for so long before you lose one. And when the chefs from Penn State brought the crewMorgasbord This morning Nick had enough food.

“What kind of bullshit is this?” he asked as the show paused.

And this is how he was baptized:

Nick Saban has arrived

Look, I know College GameDay and Big Noon Kickoff are currently dueling in Happy Valley, just feet apart, but I'm not here to pick sides and play political games. I love college football and support bringing more attention to the game of the week.

And guess what? Pat and the ESPN crew can make fun of Big Noon all they want to steal a night game from Penn State. Whatever. Do it. We get the ratings, idiots! It's ours. Fox's. We win. You will all be watching, day and night. Excuse me!

Okay, back to Nick…

I love Saban's. He doesn't have time for the slop the Penn State chefs prepared for the crew. He wants to get to the point. To the Xs and Os of today's big showdown.

And sometimes you just have to let it all out. And he did. And it was perfect.

Welcome to the show, Nick. Nice to have you on board.

Next? F-bombs!
