Tez Johnson is out for the remainder of Oregon's football game against Michigan with an apparent shoulder injury

ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) — Oregon football's top wide receiver left Michigan's game in the first quarter on Saturday because of an apparent shoulder injury.

As the Ducks capitalized on their first possession, Tez Johnson left the field and headed to the Ducks' locker room, resting his left shoulder. He returned to the Oregon sideline with what appeared to be a sling on his shoulder and was out for the remainder of the game.

Johnson, who had one reception for 11 yards on the first drive, entered the game leading Oregon with 63 receptions for 638 yards and eight touchdowns.

Johnson's replacement on punt returns, Ryan Pellum, lost a fumble late in the first quarter that gave the Wolverines the ball back deep in Oregon territory. Pellum was later replaced by Evan Stewart on punt returns.

Johnson eventually returned to the Oregon sideline in street clothes, wearing a towel over what appeared to be a shoulder sling.
