Heading to Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concert in Indianapolis? What you should know: NBC Chicago

An estimated 200,000 people are expected to descend on Indianapolis when superstar Taylor Swift rolls into town for three nights of performances.

The Circle City is rolling out the red carpet not just for Swift herself, but also for the 60,000 people expected at Lewis Oil Stadium each night — and the additional 40,000 expected to come downtown for the festivities, according to Visit Indy.

For those making the approximately three-hour drive, here's everything you need to know – including details on Taylor Swift-themed events, road closures and whether tickets are still available.

Can you still buy tickets?

Tickets are still available – although they might cost more than you'd like. According to reseller website Stub Hub, tickets “sold out quickly,” and as of Friday afternoon, most available tickets were in the $2,000 range.

Baseb(all) Too Well Concert Pre-Party – 3pm on November 1st and 2nd

The self-proclaimed “best T. Swift party in town” takes place at Victory Field and features Eras music, themed cocktails, sing-alongs and more.

Swiftie Par-Tay at the Indianapolis Children's Museum – January 1-4 November

Guests at the Indianapolis Children's Museum can swap friendship bracelets, “shake it off” at a Taylor-style dance party and make iridescent slime.

Wildest Era – Swifties at the Zoo – Indianapolis Zoo – January 1-4 November

Even the Indianapolis Zoo is getting involved.

Zoo visitors can participate in Taylor Swift-inspired activities throughout the weekend, including themed food and drink, face painting, bracelet trading and more.

Who does Taylor Swift perform with?

Pop singer Gracie Abrams will serve as the opening musician each night of the concert, which begins at 7 p.m

Where can I get official merchandise?

Merchandise may be purchased in Exhibit Hall K of the Indiana Convention Center on the following dates and times:

  • Wednesday, Oct. 30: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m
  • Thursday, Oct. 31: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m
  • Friday, November 1st: 12-8 p.m
  • Saturday, November 2nd: 12-8 p.m
  • Sunday, November 3: Sales will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium only

Will roads be closed?

Not familiar with Indianapolis but planning to go? According to WTHR, the NBC affiliate in Indianapolis, the following road closures should be observed.

The following roads will be closed during posted opening hours from November 1st to 4th:

  • South Street between Capitol Avenue and Missouri Street: 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 a.m
  • Monument Circle, all four spokes closed: 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m
  • South Street between Pennsylvania and Delaware Streets: 10:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m
  • Washington Street between Illinois Street and Capitol Avenue: 11:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m
  • Maryland Street between West Street and Capitol Avenue: 11:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m
  • Missouri Street between Washington and Maryland Streets: No S/B. 11:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m
  • Capitol Avenue from Washington to South Streets: 11:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m
  • Georgia Street between Illinois Street and Capitol Avenue: No W/B. 11:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m
  • South Street between Capitol Avenue and Pennsylvania Street: 11:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m
  • Kentucky Avenue from South to Morris Street: No N/B or E/B 11:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m

  • Missouri and Morris Streets: No N/B from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m

The following highway exits will be closed during posted opening hours from November 1st to 4th:

  • I-70 E/B at the West Street exit: 11:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m
  • I-70 W/B at the West Street exit: 11:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m
  • I-70 E/B, Illinois Street/Meridian Street exit: 11:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m
  • I-70 W/B at the Meridian Street exit: 11:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m

The following traffic diversions will be in place from November 1st to 4th during the specified times:

  • No southbound traffic on Missouri Street between Washington and Maryland streets: 11:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m
  • Southbound West Street will be detoured to Kentucky Avenue at South Street from 11:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m

Ridesharing details

You should be patient and allow yourself enough time to get to the concert – regardless of which means of transport you choose.

If you decide to share a ride, you should keep the following areas in mind:

  • Ride sharing zones:
    • South Street between Missouri and West Street (between 10:00 p.m. and 1:00 a.m.)
    • Lilly Lot at Delaware and South Street (between 10 p.m. and 1 a.m.)
