“This breaks a record set in 2008 at 54,000,” said Mike West of the BOE.

With just one day left to vote early in person, people are ensuring they have a say in the future of America.

Lines were long on Saturday, with some people telling 19 News they waited more than an hour to cast their vote.

“This shows us that people are very excited to vote,” West said. “They are very passionate about voting and can’t wait to get here and make their voices heard.”

West says they've added more parking options to make the voting experience smoother.

To vote in person, you will need a valid ID.

Some examples include an Ohio driver's license, passport, or military ID.

More than 170,000 people have requested an absentee ballot and are running out of time to submit it.

“Monday is the postmark deadline,” West said. “So if you go on Monday, go early in the day to make sure everything is stamped.”

If you can't vote on Sunday, remember this. You cannot vote early on Monday.

But don't worry, you can always vote on Election Day, Tuesday.

“We expect it to be very busy,” West said. “We hope for a voter turnout of 70 percent or more.”
