First quarter

After New England lost the coin toss, the Titans took control of the ball to start Sunday's contest, getting Mason Rudolph and Co. onto the field first. Tennessee got an early first down through the air before Rudolph used his legs to convert a 3rd-and-11. After a 12-yard pass, an outside throw to Tony Pollard saw the back gain 32 yards on the ground to put Tennessee within 10 yards. On the next play, Rudolph hit Nick Vannett for a touchdown. (Patriots 0:7 Titans)

New England's push was sparked by a scramble by Drake Maye, as the rookie evaded pressure and gained 26 yards on the ground. Two touches from Rhamondre Stevenson then led to a 3rd-and-5 in which Maye was brought down for a sack – while Jeffery Simmons provided quick pressure inside. Joey Slye's 56-yard field goal wasn't good.

Pollard took control of his own 46-yard line after the miss and had more success on the ground with a 13-yard run to start the drive. Two more runs led to a 3rd-and-7 where Christian Gonzalez suffocated Calvin Ridley on a slot fade and broke up the pass. Tennessee then punted after a delay of game.

The Patriots immediately faced a 3rd-and-14 on their next drive after a false start penalty on Kendrick Bourne. From the gun, Maye connected with Bourne, but only for 11 yards, leading to a punt.

A play-action pass resulted in a 24-yard completion to Vannett on the Titans' first play from scrimmage. A second-period sack by Deatrich Wise helped slow Tennessee, which then punted after an incomplete screen.

Second quarter

Marcus Jones' 44-yard punt return put the Patriots' offense just short of midfield. New England was unable to capitalize as Maye's third pass was intercepted.

The turnover brought Tennessee to New England's 40, where Rudolph hit Calvin Ridley over the middle for a 25-yard gain. A horse collar tackle on Keion White then took the Titans inside the 10, where Rudolph's third-down pass went high and bounced off his tight end's hands, ending up in the arms of Jahlani Tavai, who intercepted it.

Two short passes from Maye gave New England the lead on a 3rd-and-1, where Maye avoided pressure from the play and threw a pass to Stevenson for 12 yards. A 10-yard completion to Henry and a 13-yard scramble from Maye then got the New England offense moving further. On a 3rd-and-21 after a Ja'Lynn Polk hold and an exploding screen, Maye's quick pass to Henry gained 12 yards. Slye's 52-yard field goal was good. (Patriots 3: 7 Titans)

Two first downs brought Tennessee close to midfield before they were pushed back by a block in the back penalty. On 3rd-and-8 after the two-minute warning, Rudolph's shot from distance was canceled out, resulting in a punt.

They took over their own 15 points with 1:48 left in the half and scored a total of 25 yards on consecutive completions to Kendrick Bourne. Set up with a 2nd-and-1, back-to-back runs were stuffed, dooming the two-minute drive with a punt.

Only a 20-yard punt by Bryce Baringer got the Titans going again at midfield. A defensive attack on Dell Pettus and the finish by Ridley got the unit moving. Pollard's 10-yard run was stopped by a layup and a delay of game negated their advance. On 3rd-and-22, with 11 seconds left and no timeouts, Rudolph's pass was thrown away. A fourth pass with three seconds left was then thrown away heading into halftime.
