Ravens vs. Broncos: (Lamar for) MVP, 8 winners and ZERO losers

The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Denver Broncos with a massive 41-10 win.

Below are my MVP (guess who), winners and losers from Sunday's game.

MVP: Lamar Jackson

Jackson delivered another MVP performance on Sunday, carving up the top-ranked Broncos defense for 280 yards and three touchdowns on 16 of 19 passes. His passing game was crisp, efficient and consistently hit his targets with precise passes and perfect placement. From the Zay Flowers receptions to the wheel route catch on Justice Hill, he was brilliant. In another game, he has as many touchdown throws as incompletions. MV3 is coming.

winner

Derrick Henry: Death, taxes and Henry get into the end zone with the Ravens. He now has a nine-game scoring streak and 11 touchdowns this season.

Zay flowers: Flowers' playing skills were on full display. The Broncos defense tried its best to slow down the rushing attack and gave the Ravens receivers a chance to execute. Flowers did that and more with five receptions for 127 yards and two touchdowns, including a 53-yard touchdown near the end of the first half.

Tavius Robinson: The Ravens' pass rushers weren't consistent at all in this contest, but Robinson made a number of plays. He finished the game with two sacks, four quarterback hits, a tackle for loss and a pass breakup. An impressive performance for Robinson, who beat David Ojabo for the second time in a row.

Ar'Darius Washington: The Ravens' secondary was rightfully battered after their repeat losses to the Cleveland Browns last week. But at the first opportunity, Washington made Bo Nix's first throw, which was tipped by the receiver.

Ravens defense: This was a desperate “do everything right” game for the defense after poor performances all season, and they did their job. In the first half, they forced three turnovers on Washington's interceptions and two turnovers on downs. It took the Broncos a grueling 11-play drive and a desperate trick play to get into the end zone and make it a game. But that didn't last long. The Ravens defense allowed 10 points in the first half and zero in the second half. They had two goal line stands against the Broncos and forced two more turnovers on downs.

Tylan Wallace: Covered a punt inside the 2-yard line, ripped off and completed a 21-yard punt return. No complaints.

Jordan Stout: Excellent punt, good handles and even a 73 yard punt (which was called back for compensating penalties).

John Harbaugh: Successful challenge, good use of timeouts to score a touchdown with a minute left before the end of the first half, and there was no clumsy play that came back to bite the team in the butt. That was an excellent coaching performance.

loser

None. No, really. The only things I could bring here are ticky-tock complaints. The Ravens offense was wiped out. The defense held its own consistently. Special teams carried out their work consistently. The coaching was on point. A crash here, a bad reputation there and a miscommunication are not enough for me to criticize. This was an all-around Baltimore beatdown.
