Even though the episode's plot ultimately turned out to be a dream, Friedle, Strong and Fishel agreed in retrospect that the moment with Hewitt made no sense and was a little too hot to handle, even though everyone on set knew the actors saw each other at the time.

“(It was) very intense,” Fishel recalled of the scene between Friedle and the guest star, who briefly dated in 1996. “I don't know how at all, how none of us thought, 'We know they're one.' Couple in real life, but does that still make sense for the show?'”

For his part, Friedle said he was surprised to watch the moment again for the podcast. “I don't remember it getting this far and I was like, 'Oh my God,'” he said. “And then like they kissed her neck and so on. It was really real, wow, this is uncomfortable.”

The trio suspected that the decision to include the scene in the show was made just for fun, but all agreed that it ultimately felt inappropriate since most viewers likely had no idea that the actors were in a relationship outside of it had camera.

The kissing session was the most heated moment of the show throughout its entire run. “It’s like total make-out,” Friedle said. “That's the most intense snog we've had in the seven years of the show, right in the hallway, then me kissing her neck while she's trying to talk and so on. We haven't even said our names yet.” It's intense.
