According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Las Vegas Raiders have fired offensive coordinator Luke Getsy after a disappointing 2-7 season and a five-game losing streak.

Pelissero has been the Raiders' offensive coordinator since the start of the season after spending two years in Chicago with the Bears.

With 144 points scored this season, the Raiders currently rank 24th in the league in yards per play. They lead the league with a total of 17 turnovers.

Pelissero reported that head coach Antonio Pierce felt a change was necessary, with the offensive coordinator being the first to go and more changes expected.

Former Washington offensive coordinator Scott Turner has been mentioned as a potential candidate to fill the vacant position, according to Pelissero.

Getsy's firing comes on the heels of star defenseman Maxx Crosby publicly expressing frustration with the Raiders' current five-game losing streak.

Las Vegas enters a bye week after Sunday's 41-24 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
