NASCAR has reached the penultimate race of the 2024 season before crowning a champion next weekend.

Sunday's race at Martinsville Speedway will determine the final two drivers of the final four and set the stage for the NASCAR championship race at Phoenix Raceway.

Two drivers have already secured places in Championship 4. Joey Logano, a two-time Cup Series champion, won the opening round three race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway two weeks ago. Tyler Reddick, seeking his first Cup title, punched his ticket last weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Now only six drivers are fighting for two places. If one of these six drivers wins at Martinsville, they will secure third place and the final spot will be decided on points. If none of the six win on Sunday, both places will be determined based on points.

All six remaining participants were successful in Martinsville. Denny Hamlin leads all active drivers with five wins at NASCAR's smallest track. William Byron won twice, while Christopher Bell, Ryan Blaney, Chase Elliott and Kyle Larson each took the checkered flag once.
