Dak Prescott was caught beating up the Cowboys on the sideline

The internet lip readers will have fun here.

As the Cowboys' season continued to turn, quarterback Dak Prescott appeared to give a concise assessment of the American team's current state during Sunday's 27-21 loss to the Falcons.

“We suck,” Prescott seemingly said on the broadcast in support of QB Trey Lance with less than four minutes left in the fourth quarter of the Cowboys’ third straight loss.

It was a tough day for the Cowboys.

Dallas' $240 million quarterback, who signed a four-year extension before the team's Week 1 win over the Browns, left early with a hamstring injury and finished the day with 133 passing yards and a touchdown. He is expected to undergo an MRI scan on Monday.

Elsewhere on the Cowboys' sideline, head coach Mike McCarthy was seen on the broadcast smashing a tablet as frustration boiled over.

Calls for McCarthy's job are likely to grow as the Cowboys have fallen to 3-5 this season, well behind the NFC East division leaders, the 7-2 Commanders.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones expressed his confidence in McCarthy after the Week 9 loss.

“I know how hard he works. I like his football spirit. I know how well he works. In my opinion he has an outstanding coaching record. He's really good with the players. They think highly of him. But he has a lot of fire in his belly. And so I'll just tell you this: I like the positives that I see,” Jones said.

Dallas is 31st in red zone offense and 32nd in red zone defense – not exactly a winning formula.

With crucial divisional battles on the horizon – the Eagles (November 10), the Commanders (November 24) and the Giants (November 28) – the Cowboys will have to do some serious soul searching if they hope to overcome this ugly three-game slide .

The first chance comes on Sunday when the team hosts the Eagles at 4:25 p.m
