“Oh man, it was crazy,” said Addison, 22, who had five catches for 42 yards and a score. “I just saw him throw the ball, I didn’t know if I was going to get there or not. I just stuck my hand out and it stuck. So, kudos to the left hand for that. That's probably (number) one for me. I’ve never had a one-handed touchdown, so this is probably one for me.”

Addison was more of a direct beneficiary of the Vikings' game plan, seeing early plays tailored to him, such as a 9-yard handoff and a 1-yard screen in the first quarter.

“He’s a great player,” receiver Justin Jefferson said. “He’s dealt with the injuries and dealt with a few lesser attacks but it hasn’t affected him at all. He still goes out and performs and puts on plays whenever they come to him. And that's exactly what I'm trying to preach to him. … Even if the goals don’t come to you at this moment, they will come.”

Rookie edge rusher Dallas Turner regained a larger role against the Colts and played 26 defensive snaps (48%), his highest percentage since the start of the season with 51% playing time with the Giants. Turner, the speedy first-round pick, was moved by the defensive coordinator Brian Flores. On Sunday night, Turner lined up like a slot cornerback and attacked the Colts quarterback Joe Flacco from secondary school. Turner hit Flacco when he threw an incompletion in the third quarter.

“It didn’t really feel real at first,” Turner said, “but it definitely was real.”

Turner finished the game with two tackles. Coaches have adjusted other playing time on the D-line and increased roles for veteran edge rushers Jihad districtwho had three hits, including a sack, against Flacco. Edge rusher Patrick Jones II recorded a season-low 33% playing time.
