Police are investigating the incident between Jason Kelce and Heckler

Penn State Police and Public Safety are investigating the incident between Jason Kelce and an unidentified fan in State College and the “process is ongoing,” a university spokesperson confirmed to The Post in an email.

Kelce was seen in a now-viral video Saturday smashing the phone of a young man who had been walking behind the former NFL lineman and harassing him.

The fan used a homophobic slur while mocking Kelce about his brother Travis and girlfriend Taylor Swift.

The University Police daily crime log for the day listed an incident in which an “officer observed a patron damaging personal property” at Curtin Road and Commuter Drive, which are located right near Beaver Stadium.

Several videos that made their way to social media showed Jason Kelce, who was in State College on Penn State University's campus to participate in ESPN's “College Gameday,” walking near Beaver Stadium during Fans nearby walked around, shouting his name and trying to get high fives.

Things changed when a fan yelled at Kelce, “Hey Kelce, how does it feel that your brother wants to date Taylor Swift?”

The former Eagle quickly made a U-turn, confronted the person and grabbed his phone before smashing it to the ground.

The unknown person then pushed Kelce as he tried to pick it up, and the man, who was wearing a Penn State sweatshirt, was heard demanding, “Give me my phone, Kelce.”

That's when Kelce shot back, “Who's the devil now?” several times before finally walking away from the incident.

The criminal record listed criminal mischief and disorderly conduct as possible offenses for the incident.

It is unclear whether anyone reported the altercation to university police.

ESPN declined to comment when reached by The Post on Monday evening.

Kelce addressed the situation at the top of ESPN's “Monday Night Countdown” before the Buccaneers-Chiefs game.

A contrite Kelce said he was “not happy about anything that happened on Saturday,” adding, “I'm not proud of it.”

“I think the bottom line is that I try to live my life by the Golden Rule,” he said on air Monday night. “That’s what I’ve always been taught. I try to treat people with decency and respect and I will continue to do that, even if I didn't succeed this week.”

However, Kelce seemed to receive plenty of support from fans and even Penn State football coach James Franklin.

During his press conference on Monday, Franklin appeared to welcome the “consequences” the fan faced for his actions toward Kelce.

“I think it’s great that this person had consequences for his actions,” Franklin said. “Can it sometimes go too far and we talk about the passion and all these things that are great? Yes. But that doesn't excuse bad behavior sometimes. It comes with the territory, but that doesn’t make it right.”
