When is the election on TV? Check out the evening schedules of popular channels

Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris have made their final addresses to voters and Election Day is here as Americans across the country head to the polls to cast their votes on Tuesday.

For more information about voting and voter registration, visit USA TODAY's Voter Guide or visit Vote.gov and USA.gov. In some states, registration is possible until Election Day.

Many news networks will have election-related schedules throughout Tuesday. However, if you plan to watch election coverage at home after voting, you can check out each network's election night programming here this year.

NBC

NBC will offer “Decision 2024” election coverage on NBC, NBC News NOW and NBCNews.com beginning Tuesday, Nov. 5, the network announced.

According to the network, NBC News will offer viewers 24 hours of continuous live coverage on its local NBC stations starting at 5:00 p.m. ET on Election Day. NBC News NOW will offer more than 40 hours of live programming starting Tuesday at 7 a.m. ET and continuing late Wednesday evening.

“NBC Nightly News” anchor Lester Holt and “TODAY” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie will lead ongoing special coverage at 6:30 p.m. ET, along with “Meet the Press” anchor Kristen Welker, “Hallie Jackson NOW” anchor Hallie Jackson and “Top Story” host Tom Llamas.

CNN

Beginning at 4:00 p.m. ET on Election Day, the “Election Night in America” ​​special coverage will be hosted by Jake Tapper and Anderson Cooper, who will be joined by Dana Bash, Erin Burnett, Audie Cornish and Chris Wallace, according to the network's John King on the “Magic.” Wall” presents the election results to the audience as ballots are counted across the country.

CNN announced that the network will offer 24-hour special reporting from the CNN Election Center in Washington, DC and New York City, “with reporters stationed across the country to provide on-the-ground coverage of breaking events from battleground states and polling locations.” .” and campaign headquarters.”

Kaitlan Collins will host live from the Trump campaign headquarters and Kristen Holmes will report, while Abby Phillip will host live from the Harris campaign and Jeff Zeleny will report.

Fox News

Beginning at 6 p.m. ET on Election Day, Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum will co-anchor “FOX News Democracy 2024” once the election results are in, the network announced.

Bill Hemmer, co-host of “America's Newsroom,” will give the “Bill” talk and provide viewers with “county and state election data” throughout the evening, the station said.

“The Faulkner Focus” host Harris Faulkner will feature the voices of voters during FOX News Channel's coverage, speaking to “a live audience of voters about the issues that matter most to them,” according to the channel.

CBS News

According to the network, primetime election coverage on CBS and CBS News will begin 24 hours a day on Election Day at 7 p.m. ET and will be anchored by Norah O'Donnell from CBS News' election headquarters in New York City. O'Donnell will be joined at the anchor desk by Margaret Brennan, John Dickerson, Gayle King, Cecilia Vega, Robert Costa and Ed O'Keefe.

Nancy Cordes and Ed Gordon will report from the Harris/Walz election night headquarters in Washington, D.C. and Tony Dokoupil and Caitlin Huey-Burns will report from the Trump/Vance election night headquarters in West Palm Beach, Florida, the network said.

Maurice DuBois will report on the “Paths to 270” for each presidential candidate throughout the evening, and Scott MacFarlane will be in studio reporting on the battle for control of the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives.

ABC News

ABC News announced Thursday more than 72 hours of “comprehensive coverage” of the 2024 election with special programming on ABC, ABC News Live and ABC News Digital channels such as the ABC News app.

Beginning at 7 p.m. ET on Election Day, “World News Tonight” anchor and managing editor David Muir will lead the network's coverage, ABC News said in a news release.

Muir is joined by Linsey Davis, Martha Raddatz, Jonathan Karl and Mary Bruce, among others. ABC News said anchors and correspondents would report from across the country as well as from both presidential campaign headquarters on election night, bringing viewers “the latest updates on key races and battleground states.” Donna Brazile, Chris Christie and Reince Priebus will also provide analysis for the network.

MSNBC

Beginning at 6 p.m. ET, Rachel Maddow will anchor MSNBC's special primetime election coverage live from MSNBC headquarters in New York City, the network announced Wednesday.

Maddow will be joined by Nicolle Wallace, Ari Melber, Joy Reid, Chris Hayes, Alex Wagner, Lawrence O'Donnell, Stephanie Rhule and Jen Psaki, according to the network.

Throughout Tuesday, NBC News and MSNBC national political correspondent Steve Kornacki will be on “Big Board” breaking down the latest state-by-state results.

NewsNation

On election night, NewsNation will present “NewsNation Decision Desk 2024,” co-hosted by Chris Cuomo, Elizabeth Vargas and Leland Vittert, from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. ET, the network announced.

The CW Network will simulcast NewsNation's election night coverage from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. ET.

“The Hill Sunday” host and political editor Chris Stirewalt will contribute from the NewsNation studio in Washington, DC, and throughout the evening, “NewsNation Now's” Connell McShane will break down the voting results and provide “breaking news” reporting from ” Big Board,” with prime-time host Dan Abrams providing insight and analysis, according to NewsNation.
