America is currently electing its next president – check out the early results

After months of anticipation, the showdown between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump is nearing its climax.

Assets will cover the election as it unfolds throughout the night and into the next morning. We will have results, maps, reactions and much more.

As we wait for the first results, here is some important information as Election Day turns into Election Night.

When do the polling stations close?

Below is a complete breakdown of when polls will close for each US state. Worth noting: Parts of some states are closing earlier than others, as we've pointed out.

6:00 p.m. ET: Kentucky (some surveys closed), Indiana (some surveys closed)

7:00 p.m. ET: Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, Florida (some polls closed), New Hampshire (some polls closed)

7:30 p.m. ET: North Carolina, Ohio, West Virginia, Florida (some polls closed), New Hampshire (some polls closed)

NPR/PBS News/Marists: 51% Harris, 47% Trump

Reuters/Ipsos: 51% Harris, 47% Trump

ABC News/Ipsos: 49% Harris, 46% Trump

New York Times/Siena College: Harris leads in all but one swing state (Michigan)

What about prediction markets?

Polymarket users are betting on a Trump win — 60% for the former president compared to 39% for the vice president as of Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. ET.

At PredictIt, Trump and Harris are at an impasse.
