Jon Stewart hosts the live “Daily Show” on election night

Jon Stewart continues live The Daily Show and is aware that people, especially Democrats, are nervous.

“I know a lot of people out there who are afraid. I want to assure you that this is very good for our reviews, so keep it up. Good job out there. “Under no circumstances take your eyes away from the television,” he said during the opening of the Comedy Central show.

Stewart opened his show with contributions from Troy Iwata, Grace Kuhlenschmidt and Jordan Klepper.

Iwata wore a trash outfit and covered the Trump campaign. “People are really tired of all the positive signs and just want to know the results so they can start the uprising,” he said.

Stewart reminded him that Donald Trump was fine. “They don’t care; Whether you win or lose, these people are going to shit on Nancy Pelosi’s desk again.”

Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, a particularly close state, was scheduled to appear on the show but apparently pulled out minutes before his scheduled appearance with Stewart. Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs took his place and said she was “optimistic” about the results in her state.

“We have yet another quick result to announce in the race to my best friend between Senator Fetterman and Governor Katie Hobbs. Gov. Katie Hobbs wins by millions,” he joked.
