UCLA vs. Penn State, how to watch, odds, injuries, weather and series history

Normally, Penn State and UCLA have only met in the Rose Bowl in college football history. Well, this time the Bruins will be in Happy Valley for a conference game at Beaver Stadium for the noon opener of Week 6.

The two programs have met six times, but not since 1968, when Penn State linebacker Jack Ham opened the scoring with a blocked punt that Jim Kates returned for a Nittany Lion touchdown.

UCLA was already integrated into the Big Ten last week with losses to Indiana (42-13) and Oregon (34-13), but both meetings took place in Pasadena. This will be the Bruin's first trip to the Eastern Time Zone.

Penn State opened Big Ten play last week with White Out Energy at Beaver Stadium, beating No. 19 Illinois 21-7. The win moved the Nittany Lions to No. 7 in the AP poll, behind only Oregon and USC in the conference.

While Drew Allar and Penn State's offense were kept relatively under control in Week 5, defensive coordinator Tom Allen's unit was elite, stifling the Fighting Illini after an opening touchdown. It could be even more difficult for UCLA to move the ball with starting quarterback Ethan Garbers hampered by an injury.

Penn State enters the game as the heavy home favorite, so let's take a look at the odds, the injuries and how to watch this Big Ten showdown.
