Bernie Sanders vehemently condemns the Democratic Party after Harris' defeat: “Abandoned working class”

He feels vilified by the Democrats.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) triggered a dramatic fall in the Democratic Party after the dramatic wave of losses on Election Day.

“It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party that has failed the working class would find that the working class has failed them,” the democratic socialist said in a fiery statement on X.

“First it was the white working class, and now it's Latino and black workers too. While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change. And they’re right.”

Sanders repeated his familiar arguments that the rich are “doing phenomenally well” despite difficult economic conditions for the working class.

“We continue to spend billions to finance the extremist Netanyahu government’s all-out war against the Palestinian people,” he added. “Will the big money interests and well-paid consultants who control the Democratic Party learn real lessons from this disastrous campaign?”
