Apple is launching an updated range of MacBook Pros, Mac Minis and all-in-one iMacs this Friday, November 8th. If you want to get one of these devices, you can pre-order most configurations from Amazon and Best Buy. You can even save on your pre-order at Best Buy with the retailer's paid rewards program.


Save on pre-orders with My Best Buy Plus/Total

My Best Buy Plus costs $50 per year. So you can either get the membership for free or Best Buy will pay you to sign up with your pre-order.



The updated collection of 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros are equipped with Apple's M4 processors, the RAM has been significantly increased and they are equipped with Thunderbolt 5 ports for lightning-fast data transfers.

The M4 chips are the main feature here, as Apple says they offer significantly faster multi-threaded performance. These will be available in entry-level and high-end models, with prices starting at $1,599 for the 14-inch MacBook Pro And $2,499 for the 16-inch model. For those looking for serious performance, Apple offers the MacBooks M4 Pro and M4 Max, making them ideal partners for creative professionals who want to run demanding programs on them.

Meanwhile, the new Mac Mini lives up to its name by being a downright tiny desktop PC. Small enough to fit in your hand, it's also equipped with Apple's latest M4 chip, a variety of ports and a robust M4 Pro chip. Prices for The Mac Mini starts at $599 for the base model with M4 chip and scaled up $1,399 for the M4 Pro model. If you want a display with your new desktop Apple computer, All-in-One M4 iMacs with 24-inch displays Starting at $1,299 and comes with Apple's Magic keyboard and mouse.

The M4 model now supports up to 32GB of storage, while the M4 Pro version supports up to 64GB. You'll need a display to connect to these PCs, but they offer support for up to three monitors. If you just need a high-resolution display, the M4 Mac Mini can handle an 8K display at 60Hz or a 4K display at 250Hz, while the M4 Pro Mac Mini can handle up to three 6K displays at 60Hz.

If you want one of Apple's beautiful Retina displays with your new M4 desktop computer, All-in-One M4 iMacs with 24-inch displays Starting at $1,299, it comes with Apple's Magic wireless keyboard and mouse combo. These are only available with the standard M4 chip and the base model has an 8-core chipset, while the entry-level MacBook Pro and Mac Mini models have 10-core chipsets. The 10-core M4 iMac starts at $1,499.

If you're buying one of Apple's new devices, consider signing up for My Best Buy Plus or Total. The Plus membership is only $50/year, and since the minimum pre-order discount for members is $50, you get the membership for free (at least). The $50 discount applies to all four Mac Minis and the M4 MacBook Pros.

And if you plan on upgrading to the M4 Pro or M4 Max, Best Buy will actually pay you. Members receive $100 off M4 Pro MacBooks, $150 off M4 Max models. So even with the membership cost, you save a total of $50 on the M4 Pro configuration and $100 on the M4 Max configuration. All iMac pre-orders are at least $75 off. So you save on your pre-order and get a 12-month membership, which will probably come in handy in a few weeks when Black Friday is in full swing. You can save even more if you have an eligible device to trade in.

If you're on a budget, the good news is that you can get older Apple hardware at a discount as new technology goes on sale. Although newer hardware is undoubtedly more powerful, that doesn't mean older hardware should be ignored. For example, the M3 MacBook Air still offers an impressive amount of power and performance in a slim design that you can easily take with you, while several iPad models increase the portability factor even further and can also be paired with an Apple keyboard.

Even several of the recently released iPad Pro tablets are on sale, and these work devices also come with an M4 chip that allows them to handle demanding apps and use minimal power, so they work very well as creative workstations. The 11-inch iPad Pro with 256GB of storage is available for $899 (was $999) and the 13-inch iPad Pro with 2TB of storage has been reduced to $2,099 from $2,299. On average, you can expect to save up to $200 on select models.
