Vanity Fair's scathing Trump cover goes viral after election win

Vanity Fair's new cover featuring Donald Trump went viral after his victory in the US presidential election.

Trump pulled off what was described as a stunning political comeback, defeating his Democratic rival Kamala Harris and winning five of the seven key battleground states, with two remaining. The president-elect's campaign was littered with anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric, divisive language and conspiracy theories, including that Haitian migrants ate pets and teachers performed gender-affirming surgeries in schools.

He described the result as a “great victory for the American people” and promised voters that “this will truly be the golden age of America.”

He said MAGA (Make America Great Again) is a “movement like no one has ever seen before” and “the greatest political movement of all time.”

The president-elect continued: “There has never been anything like this in this country, and perhaps now it will reach a new level of importance because we will help our country heal.” We have a country that needs help, and very urgently.
