“I didn't study” – Ja'Marr Chase reminded a nerd that he went to LSU to play football after being asked if playing TNF was like cramming for a test

“I didn't study” – Ja'Marr Chase reminded a nerd that he went to LSU to play football after being asked if playing TNF was like cramming for a test

Cardale Jones' legacy lives on. This will be the last time a journalist will consider asking Ja'Marr Chase or any other major college football player about studying for tests. They haven't learned, clearly. They were there to win games, win money and championships and play football. We also need to stop using school as a comparison to football. Not playing on a Thursday night isn't like cramming for a test. Cramming for a test means staying up late reading flashcards, notes, and books. Thursday Night Football tries not to get hurt.

This should always be the answer if you are a star athlete at a big school. Stop this learning nonsense. We all know that you go to college because you have to. You can't go straight to the NFL or NBA. They go to college to study their sport. I don't know why people still act like they're shocked that these people don't care about Algebra 101. If you can make plays like Ja'Marr Chase, you don't have to worry about what x is on a Wednesday morning.

You don't hear the saying “It just means more” in the SEC, unless former stars talk like that. Now I know that at a prestigious academic school like Kentucky, it can be shocking to hear former basketball players say things like that, just like it was at LSU football. All I need to know is that these boys came to play football, not to go to school. Don't you dare ask her about studying.
