Country superstar looks unrecognizable at the People's Country Choice Awards

She doesn't just have a pretty face!

Country-pop queen Shania Twain wasn't impressed by Brad Pitt — but she was certainly happy as she walked the red carpet at the People's Country Choice Awards on Thursday night in a sparkly denim two-piece.

The 59-year-old turned heads with a '60s-style bombshell blonde hairstyle that highlighted her light brown eyes and made many think: Let's go, girls.

The country singer left no doubt that she did it in style as she helped bring the custom Levi's ensemble to life.

“Isn’t it crazy? I love it,” Twain told E! The red carpet news was seemingly aware of the impact she had on everyone who saw her and kept everything looking calm.

“I was involved in the sketches, the design, the silhouette and everything. For me, that’s the joy.”

She added: “It's not about creating something amazing – it's about being a part of it.”

Twain stunned fans with her unrecognizable short blonde bob. While some had mixed reactions to her look, many supporters were thrilled.

“Shania Twain in her uncompromising era. I love this for my mom,” one person wrote on X, formerly Twitter. “Shania is in her Idgaf era and is just living and loving life! And I don't blame her. She's been through so much because she lost her voice and had to have open neck surgery while awake to fix it,” another added.

It's a big night for Twain. In addition to hosting the awards ceremony at Nashville's legendary Grand Ole Opry House, the “Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?” singer is also nominated. She'll be competing against other big names on the 2024 concert tour, including Tim McGraw, Zach Bryan, Jason Aldean, George Strait, Luke Combs, Kenny Chesney and Morgan Wallen.

Twain seemed thrilled to host the awards show and revealed that she was inspired by fellow country artist Reba McEntire.

“I think the hosts are chosen very carefully. “It's important that people understand each other and that the host has experience,” Shania told Billboard in an interview published on September 23rd. “Reba is one of my favorite presenters. She speaks from experience and I think that deserves respect and attention. She's funny and smart and loved by everyone, and asking her to do something like (hosting an awards show) is a compliment. That’s why Reba is a good example for me.”

Twain has been through a lot in her life: She contracted Lyme disease in 2003 and had open throat surgery in 2018 after damaging her vocal cords. Last year the “Man! I feel like a woman!” The singer spoke about contracting COVID-19 and pneumonia and revealed that she had to be flown to a hospital.

“It kept getting worse. My vital signs deteriorated… and I ended up having to be evacuated,” Twain shared. “It was like science fiction, I felt like I was flying to another planet or something.”

The country superstar overcame her health issues and released her sixth studio album, “Queen of Me,” in February 2023. Twain also landed a residency in Las Vegas called “Come On Over.”

“It's great to just be able to sing on tour again with my new voice after my surgery,” she shared in 2023. “I’m in a very celebratory mood.”
