Texas A&M strikes first with a 1-yard TD after a contentious start in College Station

Amari Daniels and the Texas A&M Aggies are on the board early in College Station.

The Aggies drove 60 yards down the field in eight plays, highlighted by a 25-yard run by Daniels just before the first score. Daniels has already rushed for 26 yards on just two carries against the Tigers.

The Aggies and Tigers certainly couldn't escape the drama early in this game. On Missouri's first drive, officials noticed an apparent pass interference against A&M cornerback Will Lee III. This call was particularly important because it came on 4th down when the Tigers were trying to sneak a hit on the Aggies.

Of course it backfired. The Aggies were in the end zone just a few minutes later and now have the rock in their hands again and begin drive No. 2 of the day.

Conner Weigman takes the lead early for the Aggies, replacing Marcel Reed, who stepped in for the previously injured Weigman. He's had a strong start to this game so far, but Mizzou's defense will inevitably make adjustments as the game progresses.

We should have a good thing here, folks. The Aggies lead the Tigers 10-0 with just over five minutes left in the first quarter.
