Some people are just discovering how Andrew Garfield actually speaks thanks to We Live In Time.

We all love Andrew Garfield's voice, right? Well, if you haven't heard him speak outside of his films, you might not know what he actually sounds like.

Over the last 20 years, Andrew Garfield has become one of the most popular actors in the world. From his groundbreaking role in The social network to his incredible performance as Peter Parker in the The Amazing Spider-Man Films have become an integral part of modern pop culture.

Now Andrew stars alongside Florence Pugh We live in time and people are just now discovering his true accent.

In We live in timeAndrew plays a British Weetabix employee named Tobias and the film explores his love story with a chef named Almut, played by Florence. Throughout the film, Andrew uses his real voice instead of an American accent as he has done in many of his previous projects.

In a promo video for We live in timeAndrew was asked if this was the first time he had used his own voice in a film. After a moment's hesitation, he said, “I think it might be the first time I've used my (voice). I think it's true, yes.” Then you can see how Florence reacts in shock.

Although Andrew Garfield is British in real life, he was actually born in Los Angeles to British parents. He moved to Britain at the age of three and grew up in Epsom, Surrey.

The video immediately went viral and people reacted with shock in the comments. One person wrote: “Andrew Garfield uses his own accent so rarely that even Google thinks he's an American actor.” Meanwhile, another added: “I didn't even know Andrew Garfield wasn't American.”

However, others were quick to point out that Andrew has acted as a Brit on screen before. Someone wrote: “Brother really forgot Never Let Me Go.”
