Riley Keough shares the haunting truth about the day grandfather Elvis Presley died

Riley Keough speaks openly about her mother Lisa Marie Presleyis the experience of losing your father Elvis Presley when she was still a young girl.

In a preview clip of the interview shared on Instagram, he said Daisy Jones and the Six The actress confirmed that Lisa Marie felt like she “instinctively knew something was wrong” on the morning of August 16, 1977, the day her father, a music legend, died at the age of 42.

Although Lisa Marie was only nine years old at the time, Keough, 35, said her mother had vivid memories of Elvis' death, which she recounted in detail for the “first time” when she wrote her memoir before her own death in January 2023 wrote.

“She said goodnight to him and I think she knew (when) she said goodnight, like she had some sense of his death,” Keough told Winfrey in the interview. “I think she often had the feeling that he wasn’t doing well.”

“She told me that sometimes she would find him in his bathroom looking like this or holding on to the railing to stand upright,” the actress recalled, adding that Lisa Marie also wrote letters predicting that something would happen to her father.

“When she was little, she would write these letters and say, 'I hope my dad doesn't die,'” she told Winfrey. “So there was kind of a feeling.”

The Under the bridge Star also added that Lisa Marie was living with Elvis at Graceland at the time of his death and that they were the only two sleeping upstairs at the time.

“I think she spent a lot of intimate time with him up there,” she revealed.
