Taylor Swift's body language at Travis Kelce's recent soccer game says volumes about their relationship

While a Taylor Swift appearance at a football game would have broken the internet just a few years ago, Swifties and non-Swifties alike are now used to her showing up to support her boyfriend Travis Kelce and his team, the Kansas City Chiefs . And yesterday, Swift made another such appearance at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City as Kelce and Co. took on the New Orleans Saints.

Those who remember Swift's first forays into soccer fandom in 2023 will remember her wild reactions, big faces, and immense joy as she cheered on her man. And yet yesterday's visit to KC seemed a bit, I don't know, subdued? Swift's body language appears to be in stark contrast to her previous behavior.

That's not to say Swift hasn't smiled, clapped, and sincerely supported her man. But the lack of excessive excitement that was present earlier could be a sign that their relationship has entered a new phase: the comfort phase.

New love is often marked by giddiness, silliness and wild displays of affection. We certainly got a lot of that early on from Swift and Kelce. But as their relationship has developed and matured, it appears that they are now in a much more grounded and comfortable place – probably a good sign for the future.

Could Swift's lackluster cheers be a sign of trouble in paradise? Sure, everything is possible. But it's just as likely, if not more likely, that things have simply settled down between the two.

This slowdown in their relationship isn't just evident when Swift is alone – it was also recently pointed out by body language expert Darren Stanton (speaking on behalf of Spin Genie) while she was at the US Open with Kelce.

According to Stanton, things have obviously calmed down a bit (which is to be expected as any relationship progresses). He said, “The couple's PDA was very excited for a while, holding hands and kissing in public, but that seems to have died down over time.” (Kelce) only really tries when (Swift) is looking. She’s like fireworks as always, but it’s only when she looks at him that he really gets into it.”

The fact that Swift and Kelce continue to support each other (Kelce even gave her a subtle nod during his last acting appearance) is a sign that things are still going well. And as much as Taylor loves butterflies, those initial butterflies can only last so long.
