DraftKings' failure upsets bettors

If you opened your DraftKings sports betting app on Thursday morning hoping to get some early action on a big sports day and were having trouble placing bets, you're not alone.

DraftKings doesn't seem to be available to most of us.

After a series of complaints on social media, DraftKings' customer support account was downgraded to X confirmed that they had problemstweeted that customers in all jurisdictions were affected and DraftKings was working to resolve the issue. The account also responded to individual users, saying: “Some customers may be experiencing issues with bet placement.”

We are aware that customers may have issues with certain features of our sportsbook. This currently affects players in all jurisdictions. We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

As you can imagine, the news didn't go down well with the gambling public, who love nothing more than burning money first thing in the morning.

Especially on a big sports day with two ALCS games, the start of the WNBA Finals, Thursday Night Football, NHL games and even a little college football and much more.
