Seahawks injury updates following Thursday's loss to the 49ers

The Seahawks had two players, both on defense, overcome Thursday's loss to the 49ers.

Cornerback Artie Burns, who was signed off the practice squad on Thursday, left the game with a toe injury, while cornerback Tre Brown exited with an ankle injury.

Those two joined a trio of defensive players who did not play Thursday due to injury: cornerback Riq Woolen (ankle), defensive tackle Byron Murphy II (hamstring) and outside linebacker Uchenna Nwosu (hamstring), the latter of which was placed on injured reserve before the game .

Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald did not comment on the new injuries after the game, saying: “Artie re-injured his toe, I'm not sure of the severity. Tre had an ankle. I’m pretty sure everyone else is fine.”

The Seahawks had three players listed as questionable for the game who were able to play: safety Julian Love (hamstring), outside linebacker Boye Mafe (knee) and outside linebacker Derick Hall (foot), and all appeared to play through the game without an incident .

The Seahawks will now get a few well-deserved days off after three games in 11 days, starting with a Monday night game in Week 4 at Detroit, and hope to come out of the break healthier as they prepare for next week's trip to Atlanta.
