ReFantazio – The Best Ways to Increase Your Royal Virtues

If you've played Persona games, you're familiar with the social stats system. These stats act as barriers to keep you from progressing through the game too quickly, with different follower conversations requiring you to reach certain thresholds. These are also present in Metaphor: ReFantazio, but they are not social values, but rather your royal virtues, which you must train if you want to be a worthy king.

As you play through the game, you will find many places to train these stats, although their quality may vary. That's why we've put together a guide that shows you how to best train each stat.

Courage is one of the easiest stats to train, as you can train it just by completing some side content. Bounties tend to give you the biggest boost, but most requests that require you to defeat a boss in a side dungeon also give you a courage boost. However, there are a few other good ways to do this, such as the book that Junah adds to the Gauntlet Runner as soon as she joins the party, which gives you 5 points of courage every time you read it.

Wisdom is another factor that is often boosted by requests, but is not as reliable as Courage, and late game it is better to find these sights. The most important thing to remember is that you should do it Always train in the nearest city you have achieved, as each city gives you more points than the last.

There are some good places in the city for tolerance training, for example where you can talk to the various members of the Muatri tribe. However, you will get more consistent results by reading on the Gauntlet Runner. One of the first books available will train tolerance, as will one of the books added much later that will help you train.

Eloquence training courses require you to either debate another candidate for the throne or address the concerns of the people. Either way, you can increase your Eloquence very quickly this way, since leveling up requires the fewest points of all five virtues. In the early cities these are sometimes limited to the time of day, but the later cities can be used at any time. As with everything else, remember that the cities you visit later will give you greater progress.

Your group is the best source of inspiration for this because when you camp on the Gauntlet Runner at night, most group members will want to talk to you and will usually give you a boost of imagination in the process. However, there are still places around town where you can train it when you're not traveling, and the Gauntlet Runner has a few good Imagination books you can read.
