Video of Diddy appearing to fondle Justin Bieber is raising eyebrows amid rapper's arrest

An unearthed video from Justin Bieber And Sean “Diddy” Combsin which the rapper apparently checked the pop star for a wire, left many confused.

The video resurfaced in connection with Diddy's recent arrest and sex crime charges and is one of several clips featuring the duo that have garnered attention.

Sean “Diddy” Combs remains incarcerated at a New York facility since his arrest and recently made a third attempt to obtain bail after previously contesting his arrest twice.

Diddy repeatedly touched Justin Bieber's chest in the clip

An old clip of Diddy and Bieber has sparked debate among fans about whether the rapper checked to see if the pop star was wearing a wire during their conversation.

The short clip began with Diddy and Bieber sharing a warm handshake next to a black SUV. From that point on, things took a strange turn as Diddy began touching Bieber's chest area multiple times as if he was searching for something.

First, the stricken rapper was seen lightly touching the “Ghost” singer several times with his knuckles. He then stepped closer and continued the palm gesture, and at one point he and Bieber hugged.

Throughout the clip, the two can be seen having a mostly inaudible conversation, except for one moment where they exchange the words “I appreciate you” and “I love you.”

Social media users are reacting to the resurfaced video

The clip was reportedly recorded in 2021 but has now gone viral following Diddy's arrest.

One X user responded to the clip, claiming Diddy's gestures were a sign of “paranoia” because the rapper thought Bieber was wearing a wire.

Another person supported the theory, stating that the rapper was “just trying to be safe, nothing more,” while a third person commented, “He was definitely looking for a cable.”

Someone else mocked the Bad Boy founder, saying his alleged paranoia didn't help him avoid federal charges.

They wrote: “Lmao what's the point of all this paranoia now (?) You've been caught red-handed.”

Other users refuted the theory, pointing out that cables wouldn't normally be laid in such an easily accessible area.

One wrote: “What’s so stupid about that? There are no more wires. They are so small that they can fit in your collar or other clothing and are difficult to see.”

A second said: “Diddy wouldn't have known if Justin Beiber was wearing a wire in this video just by tapping his chest; there might be more explanation for what he did here.”

Following the rapper's arrest, more controversial videos of Diddy and Bieber have surfaced online.

In one, a young, smiling Bieber was seen standing side by side with Diddy as he talked about how the teenage sensation spent 48 hours with him.

“He spends 48 hours with Diddy, where we hang out and what we do we can’t really say,” Diddy said at the time. “But it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream.”

He added: “I've been given custody of him… for the next 48 hours he's with me and we're going to go absolutely crazy.”

In another clip, the troubled rapper was seen asking Bieber why they are no longer together, while a third clip shows Diddy jokingly warning Bieber not to reveal any details about what happened during their time together.

When will Diddy's trial take place?

The rapper's recent hearing said his trial could begin in May if all necessary initial procedures could be completed on time. This includes the handover of evidence in the case, for which Diddy's legal team has already filed a motion to expedite.

In the meantime, the rapper will remain incarcerated at a facility in New York unless his appeal against his earlier denial of bail is successful. He has previously been denied bail twice, first by Judge Robyn Tarnofsky and then by Judge Andrew L. Carter Jr.

The new attempt at bail comes after Carter Jr. assigned the case to a new judge, Arun Subramanian, on Oct. 3 due to a full docket.

At this point, it remains unclear whether the appeal contains a stronger argument or whether Diddy's legal team intends to rely on the judge's discretion to grant the rapper temporary freedom.

Ahead of the recent hearing, Diddy's attorney Marc Agnifilo claimed that the case against the rapper was an “act of a successful black man,” suggesting that racism played a role in the prosecution.

While the comment was made on a public platform, federal prosecutors opted to handle it in court instead.

Accordingly TMZThe assistant U.S. attorney argued that Diddy's attorney's claim was “baseless” and that the rapper's prosecution was in no way racially motivated, as Agnifilo had claimed.

He also denied that prosecutors released grand jury information to the press after Diddy's legal team sought a gag order from Chief Judge Arun Subramanian.

Finally, Judge Subramanian decided to silence both Diddy's and the government's lawyers on the grounds that the order was binding on other government officials as well.
