Multiple five-star recruits visit the Oregon Ducks against the Ohio State Buckeyes

Multiple five-star recruits visit the Oregon Ducks against the Ohio State Buckeyes

The No. 3 Oregon Ducks host the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday in a huge top-three matchup with Big Ten and College Football Playoff implications. College football fans and casual gamers alike will keep their eyes on the PT primetime game at 4:30 p.m. in Eugene.

With the stakes raised, Oregon head coach Dan Lanning rolled out the red carpet to bring in several high-profile prospects to visit Autzen Stadium as the Ducks host the Buckeyes. On3's Steve Wiltfong reports that 11 of Oregon's 2025 recruiting teams will be in attendance for the big game. These include consensus five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore and safety Trey McNutt. Four-star offensive lineman Douglas Utu, running back Jordon Davison and linebacker Nasir Wyatt are also expected to be in attendance.

Wiltfong also reports that five-star 2025 defensive end Jahkeem Stewart will be in attendance for an official visit, which is good news for the Ducks as they compete for his commitment along with USC and LSU. Stewart chose Eugene over Los Angeles and Baton Rouge even though the Trojans and Tigers also had top-ten opponents, which should bode well for the Ducks' chances at the five-star trophy.

“Coach Lanning is a genius on defense,” Stewart told Wiltfong. “I first met him when he was in Georgia. I love his system. The opportunities Oregon has outside of football, the facilities. It’s really peaceful in Oregon, you can just concentrate on the ball.”

Five-star Ohio State cornerback Na'eem Offord will also be in attendance to peak for both the Buckeyes and Ducks. Offord has already listed the Ducks twice this year and Saturday was his third visit to Oregon. He had an unofficial visit in the spring, which was followed by his official visit in the summer.

The Ducks are also hosting four-star linebacker Kaleb Burns from Baylor for an official visit and are looking to make another splash before Early National Signing Day. In the 2026 class, Oregon will also host a pair of four-star Californians in linebacker Talonoa Ili and defensive lineman Tomuhini Topui

If Oregon is able to pull off the upset on the field, it could lead to big wins off the field as well. Lanning and his coaching staff will find out on Saturday how the Ducks enter their biggest game of the season with a lot of momentum. But can they keep everything on track as their biggest recruiting weekend yet takes place?
