The death of a true legend: Kris Kristofferson has died at the age of 88

American country singer Chris KirstoffersonWinner of numerous awards and recognitions, died at the age of 88. According to family representatives, Christopherson died peacefully at his home in Hawaii, surrounded by his family.

Despite all his successes, Kristofferson will remain known to the world as the man behind the song “Me and Bobby McGee” of the famous Janice Joplin и “Help me get through the night”.

Film fans will also remember him for his roles in numerous films, including the hit film “A star is born” since 1976. In the newer adaptation of this film Bradley Cooper и Lady Gaga shone in the main roles.

Christopherson was born on June 22, 1936 in Brownsville, Texas. He has been a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame since 2004.

He left behind his wife Lisa, eight children and seven grandchildren.
