Instant takeaways from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' dominant win over the New Orleans Saints

The Bucs didn't just do it in New Orleans – they also destroyed their long-time division rival.

There was a difficult second quarter, but the Bucs set a franchise record for yards and scored 51 points in a decisive 51-27 victory over the New Orleans Saints. BucsGameday was on site in the Big Easy – here are our first-hand impressions of all the action:

This observation may have already been made in recent weeks, especially considering the Bucs scored 30 points in a loss to the Falcons last week (that's over 30 points in four different games). But a 50 Burger in New Orleans, as strange as it may sound, was no joke and proves that Liam Coen and company really do have a strong unit. Tampa Bay also had a great running game, rushing for over 200 yards for the first time since 2016. If the Bucs can iron out some other deficiencies, this team can make a lot of noise.

It's been difficult for Tampa Bay's defense to generate pressure, but they've been applying more pressure lately. The return of Calijah Kancey certainly helped, and throughout the day the Bucs had five sacks with six different players. Putting pressure on rookie QBs is always a surefire way to rattle them, and in the second half the Bucs managed to do that and post a shutout. That's a trend they want to continue across the board.
