Hollywood hottie unrecognizable on the set of her new film

But if you were in Charlotte, North Carolina, over the weekend, you could have walked right past her without knowing it.

On Sunday, new photos were taken of the starlet looking unrecognizable on the set of her upcoming film, reportedly titled Black Bear.

The “Euphoria” actress was accompanied by a woman who held an umbrella over the actress's shaggy brown locks (presumably a wig), wrapped in a blue headscarf. The actress wore a loose sweatshirt and sweatpants to hide her petite figure.

Not much is known about the film, in which Sweeney plays real-life boxer Christy Martin. However, in May, Sweeney said Deadline that she was excited to “transform” her body to be well-equipped to portray the athlete.

“I fought and did kickboxing from the age of 12 to 19. I'm itching to get back in the ring, train and change my body,” she shared. “Christy's story is not an easy story, it is physically and emotionally demanding, there is a lot of weight to carry. But I love challenging myself.”

This isn't the first film in which Sweeney portrays a real person. In the upcoming film Eden, directed and produced by Ron Howard, Sweeney plays Margret Wittmer, who famously settled on the island of Floreana.

In 2023, Sweeney played the title role in Reality as Reality Winter, known for leaking American intelligence information. In 2019, she played Dianne “Snake” Lane, a young member of the Manson family cult, in the film “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood.”

In an interview with Variety earlier this year following the success of her film Anyone But You (also starring Glen Powell), Sweeney said she loves pushing boundaries as an actress.

Speaking about her film Immaculate, in which she not only starred but also produced, Sweeney said: “I love finding places I didn't know I could explore – and the limits of that to shift what people expect from me.”

“I wish I had a formulaic answer to how I did it. But whenever a director says 'action', it's like a switch. And I allow all of Sydney's thoughts, feelings and emotions to disappear.
