The New York Mets' whirlwind 2024 MLB Playoffs continues (and possibly ends) tonight with Game 5 of the National League Championship Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Read on to learn everything you need to know to watch the Dodgers vs. Mets game.

It's the final stop before the World Series, when MLB's top four teams face off in the League Championship Series. The Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Mets opened the National League Championship on Sunday with a 9-0 win for the Dodgers. The Mets fought back with a 7-3 win on Monday, but the Dodgers took the lead again with an 8-0 win on Wednesday and a 10-2 win on Thursday.

It's a best-of-seven series, but if the Dodgers win again, this will be the final game. But it's hard to rule out the Mets after a thoroughly impressive, if not surprising, postseason in which the team repeatedly defeated the top seeds, just a year after failing to secure a playoff spot. That year, the team defeated the Milwaukee Brewers in the Wild Card round and the Philadelphia Phillies in the Division Series. However, it could prove difficult to prevail against the Dodgers, as the Los Angeles-based team has the best 2024 regular season record of any Major League Baseball team with a whopping 98 wins this year.

How to watch the Dodgers vs Mets game in the USA

Game 5 of the Dodgers vs. Mets will air on Fox Sports 1 (FS1). Cord cutters can live stream the game via a monthly package like Sling TV, DirecTV Stream, or Fubo.

With plans starting at $40/month, Sling is the cheapest option tonight. FS1 is available as part of Sling's Blue plan, which includes 43 live channels including USA, the NFL Network and select local channels. Sling typically offers an introductory offer where the first month's price is about half as much. Tonight you can get your first month for just $15.

Sling TV subscription

For the essentials without the unnecessary bells and whistles, Sling TV is the streaming service you're looking for. It's more customizable than other plans and offers three options to choose from, so you only pay for what you need. New members receive $25 off their first month.

DirecTV Stream and Fubo are two other live TV packages with FS1 and other live channel offerings. They are more expensive than Sling but offer more channel options. Pricing for DirecTV Stream starts at $87/month, but you can try the service free for five days. Fubo subscriptions start at $80/month and offer a one-week free trial. Fubo also discounts your first month of service by $20.

DirecTV Stream, formerly known as AT&T TV, offers streaming access to a wide range of live channels, including most of the major networks typically found in traditional cable packages.

Fubo Pro plan

Fubo is the streaming service for sports fans. Its huge channel library includes regional and international sports leagues, setting it apart from the competition. You can also add additional programming to your plan, but this will cost you additional money.

If the Mets win and the series advances to Game 6, FS1 will also broadcast the game. If the Mets win again and force a Game 7, FOX will host. All three streaming options recommended above have both channels, so you might be set for the rest of the National League Championship Series, no matter how far it goes. However, Sling's local channel coverage varies from region to region, so you may need to look elsewhere for FOX depending on your location. Luckily, it could be as simple as purchasing a new antenna.
