The release date of the Elizabeth Olsen film “Scarlet Witch” is not set soon

She wanted these forces to find a universe in which her sons Billy and Tommy existed – whom she created through the same curse that turned Westview into a sitcom world, but had to let go of when she ended the spell. Realizing her mistakes, Wanda sacrifices herself to overthrow Mount Wundagore (the source of the Darkhold's power) and destroys every copy of the Darkhold in the multiverse.

Marvel Studios wants to bring back a director whose last MCU project seemed to divide opinion.

Despite the character's demise, fans believe Marvel Studios owes Scarlet Witch a solo film. While such a project is rumored to be in development, The Cosmic Circus' Alex Perez hinted that the wait for Scarlet Witch's solo film will be a long one. With D23 Brazil scheduled for November 8th-10th, one X user expressed hope that Disney will officially announce a Scarlet Witch movie. Unfortunately, Perez dashed any hope of a Scarlet Witch movie being announced any time soon by writing, “The announcement for this project will not be made at D23 for the foreseeable future,” when another fan asked why not, explained Perez says Marvel Studios has too much to do at the moment:

Even if a Scarlet Witch solo film won't be released until later Avengers: Secret WarsOlsen could reprise the role in another MCU project by then. According to reports, Olsen's Scarlet Witch could appear in Vision Quest (a Disney Plus series that serves as the third installment in the trilogy that began with WandaVision and continues with Agatha all the time), which is about Paul Bettany's vision after the events of WandaVision. The writers tried to deflect some of the blame by explaining that Darkhold corrupted the Scarlet Witch, but many fans still want a redemption arc for the character. Of course, others feel that the Scarlet Witch should still be a villain when she returns. Regardless, there is a lot of fan interest in seeing the characters return, and Marvel Studios might be wise to do so.
