Scout Motors unveils vehicles to be produced at its upcoming Blythewood factory

BLYTHEWOOD, SC (WIS) – Scout Motors announced it will host a ceremony Thursday where it will unveil the vehicles that will be manufactured at its upcoming Blythewood facility.

The ceremony will take place Thursday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in Franklin, Tennessee.

Scout Motors, which broke ground on its new manufacturing center in February, received a $1.3 billion stimulus package from Gov. Henry McMaster. The automotive company said the $2 billion facility will span 1,100 acres and create 4,000 jobs in the area.

The company said the new production center will produce “the next generation of all-electric trucks and rugged SUVs.”

Scott Keogh, president and CEO of Scout Motors, said the plant will be able to produce 40 cars per hour once operational.

The plant is scheduled to go into operation at the end of 2026.
