It's Kate Bush! No wait, it's Dolly Parton! Wait, is that Halsey? The singer, who uses the pronouns “she” and “they,” has been posting pictures of herself transformed into various musical icons ahead of the release of her aptly named upcoming album The great imitatoris expected to be released on Friday, October 25th.

Halsey kicked off the series on October 7 with a photo of herself as Dolly Parton, as featured on the cover of her 1987 album Rainbow. This was followed by impersonations of Cher, Britney Spears, David Bowie, Fiona Apple, Bruce Springsteen and many others. Along with each iconic look, the captions explain how the artist portrayed inspired part of Halsey's album.

As the singer has become a music industry giant, the internet is offering some suggestions of its own as to who Halsey should portray. From floaty, themed additions to the cast like Lady Gaga to more avant-garde concepts like “Crazy Frog,” now that people know Halsey is a master of disguise, they want to see the singer's range. Some suggestions even included timely suggestions like “The guy who pushed Brittany Broski on the Sweat tour” and “Heather Gay's black eye” from the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.

“Ngl, Halsey should have used amazing impersonator Ariana for video promos,” another X user wrote, referring to Ariana Grande's impression of Celine Dione Saturday Night Live.

Check out all of her previous impersonations on Halsey's Instagram and look out for her album's release on October 25, just in time for those of us still looking for last-minute costume fodder.
