Lainey Wilson takes elegant step for hurricane victims in North Carolina

Country star Lainey Wilson stepped up to help people in North Carolina after Hurricane Helene.

The terrible hurricane hit North Carolina, causing flooding and damage that looked apocalyptic. The hurricane killed 96 people in the state, destroyed homes and will take years for people and communities to rebuild.

The state desperately needs help and the “Watermelon Moonshine” singer is ready to help.

Country star Lainey Wilson is committed to helping victims of Hurricane Helene.

Wilson visited Chimney Rock on Monday to bring supplies and lift spirits after the hurricane hit the region.

“Country superstar Lainey Wilson made a surprise visit to the Village to encourage and thank the Chimney Rock Village Sheriff's Department and Fire Department for their work. The Village is grateful for the efforts to raise awareness and support for our community,” the village announced on the government’s Facebook page.

In the most difficult moments we often see the best in each other. Remember, there is much more that we have in common than divides us, and our lights shine brightest in the darkest times.

In the wake of Hurricane Helene, country music stars have also led the fight to help those in need. Morgan Wallen and Jason Aldean have both raised big money to help those in need, and now Lainey Wilson – one of the biggest names in the industry – paid people a visit to boost morale.

It might not seem like much in the grand scheme of things, but I'm sure it made these people's day. Anything that can be done to help will be absolutely appreciated by local people and those who lack resources.

We thank Wilson for doing everything she can. This is America at its finest. Let me know what you think below [email protected].
