Seth Jarvis scored a goal and an assist as the Carolina Hurricanes defeated the host Seattle Kraken 4-1 on Saturday night.

Andrei Svechnikov, Jack Drury and Dmitry Orlov also scored for the Hurricanes, who are 4-1-0 after six games that end Monday in Vancouver. Goalkeeper Frederik Andersen made 18 saves.

Jared McCann scored the lone goal for Seattle, which went 2-2-1 in five home games after winning its first two games. Joey Daccord stopped 35 of 38 shots.

Trailing 2-0 after two periods, the Kraken finally broke through when McCann scored on a breakaway off a pass from Matty Beniers at 10:21 of the third period.

Andersen stopped Seattle's Eeli Tolvanen, who ran down the right wing and shot toward the net, with 8:45 left to maintain the one-goal lead.

After 15:38 minutes of the third round, Jarvis threw a backhander over Daccord to make it 3-1. Orlov secured the win with an empty-net goal at 18:24.

The Hurricanes scored first on the power play with 4:25 left in the first period. Svechnikov received a cross-slot pass from Martin Necas and lifted the puck from the bottom of the left faceoff circle over a sweeping daccord. The goal came after Seattle defender Brandon Montour was whistled for roughhousing Jordan Martinook.

Drury scored on a two-on-one rush after a scramble in front of the Carolina net at 16:49 of the second period. Brent Burns' stretch pass sent rookie Jackson Blake down the right wing and he sent a pass to Drury at the far post who was able to tuck it in.

With five seconds left in the second period, Andersen stopped a breakaway by Chandler Stephenson that was short on players.

Seattle coach Dan Bylsma changed all but the first lineup — McCann, Beniers and Jordan Eberle — after a 4-3 overtime loss to Winnipeg on Thursday.
