CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) – The current warm temperatures will continue for a few more days before cooling down dramatically at the end of this weekend.

  • Today: Warm sunshine, almost 80 degrees
  • Thursday and Friday: Remains well above normal
  • Weekend: Warm 80s Saturday, cool 60s Sunday

Sunny skies will continue today and afternoon readings will rise back to around 80 degrees. That's almost 10 degrees above average for this time of year.

Clear skies and cool weather are forecast again this evening with low temperatures in the upper 40s to lower 50s.

The rest of the week will be dominated by sunshine, with cool nights and unseasonably warm afternoons. Morning lows will continue to remain cool, bottoming out in the upper 40s and lower 50s, with highs in the mid to upper 70s on Thursday and Friday.

Saturday will bring mostly sunny skies and unseasonably warm afternoon values ​​in the lower 80s before a cold front pushes numbers back into the much cooler upper 60s on Sunday.

As the front moves through, there will still be a few clouds late Saturday and there is even a small chance of a shower (20%). Other than this short window, no rain is forecast until Tuesday.
