The Denver Broncos' biggest boys and duds in their 28-14 win over the Carolina Panthers

The Denver Broncos' biggest boys and duds in their 28-14 win over the Carolina Panthers

The Denver Broncos danced over the Carolina Panthers in a one-sided match with a dominant 33-10 win. It was Denver's best performance yet, as rookie quarterback Bo Nix delivered a masterful performance and the defense stifled any semblance of Carolina's offense.

If this game taught us anything, it's that the Broncos can win big — when facing an opponent in complete implosion mode. Who were the biggest boys and guys?

Let's dive in.

Bo Nix | QB

Nix was everything Broncos fans wanted to see: sharp, confident and downright ruthless. He threw for 284 yards, three touchdowns and even had a rushing score, giving him an MVP-level passer rating of 124.2.

TE Corps

For once, the tight ends were more than just supporting characters. Adam Trautman scored a 37-yard touchdown, while Lucas Krull and Nate Adkins contributed crucial catches and proved that the team has its finger on the pulse. Adkins also found the end zone.

Courtland Sutton | WR

Sutton managed eight catches for 100 yards, moving the chains throughout the game. His longest catch was a nifty 37-yarder that served as a big middle finger for Carolina's secondary.

Jaleel McLaughlin | RB

McLaughlin averaged 5.9 yards on eight carries, showing his agility and talent for rushing yards. He solidifies his role as Denver's most reliable backfield option.

Sean Payton | H.C

Let's give it to Payton, who has finally put together a cohesive unit. He created a culture that not only plays hard, but also expects to win – and they ultimately did it in style.

Patrick Surtain II | CB

As usual, Surtain had Carolina's receivers locked down, giving up little and throwing another interception, although he was able to shake off some rust by giving up a touchdown on the opponent's first drive. The guy keeps getting better and continues to stop everything that comes his way.

Ja'Quan McMillian | CB

McMillian demonstrated his ability to make big plays with an interception and a pass deflection. He proves that he is more than just a role player and is slowly becoming a thorn in the side of opposing offenses.

Nik Bonitto | OLB

With a sack streak starting to look silly, Bonitto went six games with a sack. He is developing into the pass rushing threat that Denver needs.

WR's Corps

Besides Sutton, the other receivers missed deep balls and dropped passes. This isn't the best way to become Nix's best friend, and it's the death knell against a team with a pulse.

Sales

The offense still needs to do some cleanup to shut down opponents when the game goes their way.

Look, it was the Panthers, but the Broncos showed fighting spirit and cohesion that was sorely missed. It wasn't just about beating a weak team; It was a model of what could work.

With Payton's system coming to life, Nix stepping up and the defense playing lockdown football, they have laid the foundation for a winning formula. However, with competition looming, it's time for the Broncos to adopt this plan and prove they can hold their own against real competition.
