The first World Series game in the Bronx since 2009 wasn't enough to snap Aaron Judge out of his playoff frustration, as the AL MVP favorite ended the New York Yankees' 4-2 loss to the New York Yankees 0-3 with a walk The Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 3 are on the verge of being defeated.

Judge told reporters after the game that he “definitely” felt like he was letting the Yankees down by “not doing my job right now” (starts at 2:29).

Even when the Yankees went 7-2 in the first two rounds of the playoffs, Judge wasn't a big part of that success. He is batting .140/.278/.302 with three extra-base hits (two home runs) and 20 strikeouts in 54 plate appearances this postseason.

If you go back to Game 3 of the ALCS, Judge struck out 14 times in his last 25 at-bats. Monday's game marked the first time since Game 2 against the Cleveland Guardians that he didn't strike out more than once.

Judge isn't the only problem for the AL champs right now, but his status as the team's biggest star makes his problems particularly clear. The entire lineup combined to hit .186/.284/.294 with 31 strikeouts in 102 at-bats.

Carlos Rodón and Clarke Schmidt have combined to throw as many innings in the last two games as Gerrit Cole did in Game 1 (six). Giancarlo Stanton is the only player with more than one extra-base hit in the Series.

For the most part, the Yankees bullpen did a good job of controlling Los Angeles' lineup. They have allowed just one run in 11 innings in the last two games since Freddie Freeman's walk-off grand slam in Game 1.

The fans at Yankee Stadium tried to give Judge confidence by giving him a standing ovation before his first plate appearance in Game 3.

Judge and the rest of the Yankees need to hurry up or watch the Dodgers celebrate a title on their home field. Game 4 of the World Series will be played on Tuesday at 8:08 p.m. ET.

The Yankees have not been defeated by the Cincinnati Reds in the World Series since 1976.
