The injury to the star receiver robs the Cowboys of their dream matchup in Week 11

The injury to the star receiver robs the Cowboys of their dream matchup in Week 11

For the second year in a row, we were supposed to play Stefon Diggs vs. Trevon Diggs. This won't happen for the second year in a row due to a torn cruciate ligament.

In 2023, Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs suffered a torn ACL before Week 3. That meant he wouldn't face his brother Stefon Diggs when the Cowboys traveled to the Buffalo Bills in Week 15.

This year we should see the two at it again, with Trevon healthy and Stefon now a member of the Houston Texans. The two teams are scheduled to play on Monday Night Football in Week 11, but again the brothers will not face each other.

Houston announced Tuesday that its star receiver will miss the rest of the season after suffering a torn ACL on Sunday. The elder Diggs fell while running a route, and although he was able to continue running under his own power, there were major concerns.

The Texans are 6-2 and could be a nightmare for Dallas thanks to a strong running game led by Joe Mixon. Nico Collins should also be back by then. The fourth-year wideout was the league's all-time leader in receiving yards before suffering a hamstring injury and will be a significant threat in the Cowboys' secondary.
