Kristin Cavallari admits she rejected Bobby Flay when he slid into her DMs

Kristin Cavallari admitted that she turned down Bobby Flay when he snuck into her DMs and asked her out to dinner — but it was actually a big misunderstanding.

The “Laguna Beach” alum recalled the “foot-in-mouth” moment when the chef appeared on Tuesday's episode of her “Let's Be Honest” podcast.

“I DM'd you and said to you… 'I'm going to be in Nashville for a night, can I take you out to dinner?'” Flay said.

“And you literally told me, 'I'm already dating someone.'”

Kristin Cavallari admitted on her podcast “Let's Be Honest” that she rejected Bobby Flay when he slid into her DMs.
The reality TV alum said the “food in mouth” moment was actually a misunderstanding.

However, Cavallari had a slightly different version of events.

“Or I thought, 'I've just had enough of dating.' I was burned out on dating or something,” she said.

However, Flay stuck to his story.

“No, you said, 'I've already started seeing someone!' And I said, 'I just want to go out to dinner with you,'” he replied, laughing.

Flay recalled asking to take Cavallari to dinner in Nashville on Tuesday's episode.
However, his intentions were purely platonic.

“It was like a foot in the mouth,” the former “Hills” star said sheepishly.

She also admitted that she shouldn't have assumed Flay, 59, was asking her out on a romantic date.

“I think the 'ask you to dinner' thing was more about, 'Oh, this seems like a date,'” Cavallari, 37, said.

Despite the misunderstanding, the two met and “had the best time.”

It's unclear when the pals got together for dinner.

The Uncommon James founder went public with Montana Boyz member Mark Estes in February, but they split in September over concerns about their 13-year age difference and different “long-term” goals.

The Bobby's Triple Threat star split from his girlfriend of three years, Christina Pérez, in July, according to People.

During his appearance on Let's Be Honest, he called his ex “the most beautiful person in the world.”

Flay also said that he prefers to keep his dating life secret because the rest of his life is so public.

“Other people like to talk about my personal life, I don't like to talk about it because the rest of my life is so public because I've been on TV basically my entire adult life,” he explained.

Flay was married three times. Cavallari settled her divorce from Jay Cutler in 2022.
