Trevor Lawrence reacts to massive trade

The Jacksonville Jaguars traded veteran offensive tackle Cam Robinson to the Minnesota Vikings on Tuesday. This suggested that the 2-6 Jaguars would likely be trade deadline sellers, acquiring assets for what will likely be some big changes this offseason in the front office and coaching staff.

Walker Little will take on the role of primary protector to franchise quarterback Trevor Lawrence, but the $275 million investment had his mind turning to our John Shipley during today's media availability.

“First of all, I shouldn't like to talk about all of this stuff, but Cam, I'm just very grateful for him and what he's done for me. “Obviously I have a soft spot for the guys above, they have a hard job and are very selfless and he’s been here a long time so I’m grateful for him,” Lawrence said. “I always wish him the best, he’s a guy I’ve enjoyed playing with over the last few years. That's part of this business, right? The situations that change and who are teammates and friends and stuff and in different areas that can be tough.

“But on the other hand, I have to say (Walker Little) did a great job. I'm excited about this opportunity for him… he's been great when he's had the opportunity over the last few years. That was him.” He was in difficult situations and had to take many different positions. So he was prepared for his chances and that's not easy when you're not the full-time guy I get. I'm happy for him. There are always two sides.

The Jaguars have numerous trading candidates and it could worsen as the Nov. 5 trade deadline approaches.
