WWE says Ripley is injured and “out of action for an unknown period of time”

Just one night after a shocking attack by Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez left Rhea Ripley a bloody mess on NXT, WWE has announced that the former Women's World Champion is injured and will be sidelined for an undisclosed period of time.

According to WWE.com:

Last night on NXT, Rhea Ripley was vilely attacked in the parking lot by Women's World Champion Liv Morgan and her enforcer Raquel Rodriguez.

Following the brutal attack, it was revealed that The Nightmare suffered a fractured right eye socket, which will incapacitate Ripley for an undisclosed amount of time.

It's unclear if Ripley's injury is part of her history with Morgan and Rodriguez or if it's a cover for a legitimate injury she may have suffered. Either way, it looks like Ripley will be out of action for a while, meaning she likely won't play a role in Morgan's Champion vs. Champion match against Nia Jax this Saturday crown jewel.

Cageside Seats will continue to follow this story and provide updates as they become available.
