Halsey reveals the music manager viewed her nude photos without consent

Halsey recalled an “influential” music executive looking through her nude photos without her consent on Wednesday's episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast.

“I had a really strange situation a few years ago,” said the singer, who uses the pronouns “she/they.”

“I guess it was quite a long time ago, but I was out there and I was with this executive, this really powerful executive who works in the music industry in some capacity.”

The invasion of privacy occurred when the manager asked if Halsey would take a photo with him for his niece. The “Without Me” hitmaker complied, but the situation worsened when she allowed him to hold her phone.

“I took a selfie of the two of us, gave him my phone and said, 'Send it to yourself.' “I have to pee,” Halsey remembers.

“And then I went to the bathroom and when I came back he handed me my phone like this,” she continued, pretending to hang up an imaginary phone without showing the screen.

“And I saw him going through my nude photos on my phone.”

The awkward situation left the “Bad at Love” singer unsure of what to do next.

“I was just frozen. I thought, 'Did I imagine this?' Was this an accident? Did the phone scroll up? What the hell just happened?'” Halsey said.

“And then I thought, 'Did he write it himself and then delete it?' I don't even know where these are now.'”

“I'm in this situation where I have so much power,” she continued. “I have a bodyguard and I have, you know, all the leverage in the world and I'm in this exclusive area in this VIP, I've reached the ranks that say, 'Oh, I'm protected or whatever else it may be .'” Be.' And then this invasive thing just happens on a whim.”

Halsey – who recently got engaged to Avan Gogia – admitted the “invasive” situation left them feeling like they were no longer “one of the big ones” and hit a new low.

“At that moment I thought, 'You're nothing.' You are nothing. You will always be nothing. You're still just this damn girl who's being taken advantage of or like men are talking about you behind your back or you're like security.” … It was so demoralizing,” she said.

“So many worse things have happened to me, but this one stood out for some reason because it was so casual.”
