Megan Thee Stallion is suing Tory Lanez supporter Milagro Gramz

After years of threatening to take action against online personalities who vilified her after Tory Lanez shot her in 2020, Megan Thee Stallion, née Megan Pete, is suing a popular blogger for cyberstalking, distributing fake pornography of her, and of intentionally causing her emotional distress. Pete is requesting a jury trial and hopes to receive compensatory, punitive, and statutory damages.

“It's time to hold bloggers accountable for years of harassment, cyberbullying, and publishing misinformation about my personal and professional life,” Megan Thee Stallion said in a statement shared with Rolling Stone on October 30th. “I have endured countless attacks on my character based on false narratives from social media bloggers who falsely portrayed themselves as journalists. It is unacceptable behavior and these individuals must understand that there will be consequences for recklessly publishing lies and defamatory falsehoods.”

Milagro Gramz, née Milagro Cooper, has tens of thousands of followers on YouTube and X and is also present on various other websites. Through her, the lawsuit says, she “acted on behalf of Daystar Peterson (also known as Tory Lanez) as an online rumor mill spreading falsehoods about Ms. Pete… for no other reason than to bully Ms. Pete for the… Convict Mr. Peterson of harassment and punishment.” Megan Thee Stallion's attorney, Alex Spiro, also asked Cooper to preserve documents and information related to the case, including her social media posts, any communications with Lanez, his family and even blogger DJ Akademiks, who also made false claims has spread claims about the shooting and its aftermath.

In Spiro's note to Cooper, he accuses the blogger of working directly for Peterson, writing, “Plaintiff is aware of your conspiratorial relationship with Mr. Peterson and knows that you are a paid proxy for Mr. Peterson.”

Gramz responded quickly to the lawsuit against The blogger continued to post content about the lawsuit throughout the morning. Unite the People — the nonprofit law firm representing Tory Lanez as he appeals his shooting conviction — announced it would represent Cooper in the lawsuit, according to a statement shared with Rolling Stone on Oct. 31. “Milagro Elizabeth Cooper was served with a lawsuit containing many false allegations against her professional conduct to prevent her from reporting on the Daystar Peterson case,” they wrote. “Unite the People Inc. was founded and exists to fight on behalf of the disadvantaged, the small and the powerless against those Goliath organizations, corporations or celebrities who want to push around and bully the Davids of the world.”

According to the lawsuit, Cooper repeatedly claimed that Peterson did not shoot Pete during his trial because he was unanimously convicted by a jury. He is currently serving a ten-year prison sentence. Recently, the lawsuit says, Cooper circulated the false claim that the gun Peterson used to shoot Pete had disappeared since the trial, preventing Lanez from receiving a fair shot.

“Didn’t I tell you all that the gun was never presented in court and that doesn’t make any sense at all? They gave the serial number and scurried past it. (Like), first of all, who owns it?? Point of origin please,” she posted on As an argument for overturning his conviction, the filing said the gun was no longer available for DNA testing. Pete's lawsuit sharply contradicts this claim. “The firearm remains in the custody of the Los Angeles Police Department,” it said. “In California criminal cases, it is common practice to show a picture of the firearm in question rather than produce the firearm in court. Defendant Cooper could have easily verified this information, but ignored it and instead spread lies about the integrity of the trial and related investigation.” Unite the People did not return Rolling StonePlease comment on the petition. Last week, the organization tagged Gramz's Instagram profile in its posts about the petition.

How do you manage to make it and get away with it? I just learned that you really can't get away with this and I'm going to get you. Right now I'm just packing up all my stuff because I see it. Yes, you continue to do that. I will turn the blockade against you.”
